Two brothers of Chowkyal Pandey [1] family lived in Chowki (Chakhi). Chowkyal Pandey, who was the priest of Simaltya Pandey, made arrangements to live in the Autha of Thapala and gave his daughter Kanyadan. Both the brothers were given the jima to worship the gods including Purohit and the Mulsiddha Gwasi Samaiji at the head.

Chowkyal Pandey also had an amazing ability for deity worship. God's power is the voice of God. Similarly, he had the ability to control lice, ghost urine. With friendship and ability, he was given the responsibility of performing puja at twelve places in Malamadhes. A conflict started between Simultya and Chowkyal. Ratuwa was found killed by a tiger in Hardaktya in the middle of Bibad.
It was customary to give the main part of important things found in the village to Simultya. But Ratuwa Chowkyal Pandey's brother took part. There was a lot of discussion about that. It was discussed, it was decided to keep the five javelin men and hold the Badhi Panjani in Mainkham tomorrow. There was a lot of anger in my heart that I had to be punished for bringing an animal killed by a tiger in the forest. There was no way to vent his anger.
Simaltya, who decided to build Mainkham, picked up his sleeping son and hung it on the wall of Pandey. It has been a long time since the son did not cry and wanted to eat milk. He did not give any such sign and when he went to see his son, he did not find him. Asked where his son had gone, Simaltya left the house saying that he was playing ping pong in Pandey's house. Lodo, who was grinding spices, killed herself by hitting her head and saying that it was a curse to live with her husband's angry expression. When he got inside the guardhouse, he saw that his wife had committed suicide. Rhys became very angry. Abeg's fire burned brightly and he set fire to his own house. He jumped into the burning house. A very cruel incident happened. The conflict increased in the village. Bharti of Madika, Saud of Srikot, Paneru of Talla Nangar, Van Pandey took the side of Chowkyal. The water was raining. Saud was also stopped from filling water in the Naula of Thapla. They built a row near Saud, which is called Saunai Rowti. Saud donated his lands to Paneru and Chowkyal Pandey and left Thapla. At that time, hookah, water, rice, and caste were very important and they discriminated against them.
Over time, this conflict was stopped under the leadership of Kailpala Devta. The family of Chowkyal, who died by suicide, created turmoil within and outside the family. Simaltya and Chowkyal became pijas and began to appear in the form of God. Kailpala Devta did Panjani. The Choukyal family, who received divine form, should be given a place next to him, the rest of the worship should be performed, a vigil should be held at the Vaisya Parashuram Tirtha, given a divine form as Shivagana, to maintain harmony between the two tribes, Choukyal Pandey's Istadevi Bhuvaneshwari Simultya should be considered as Istadevi, the Choukyal family who received divine form should be considered as Pijas Pijasani and In the management of puja and jagar of Valak, it was arranged that the sharers are equal to Simultya and Chowkyal.
Brahma, Pijasani
A large herd of buffaloes of Thapala Paneru were grazing in Khairmuda. There was a very large settlement of Raiswal in Jadyakhal and Parigaon. Raiswals from both villages together took twenty-one Paneruka buffaloes. Paneru did a lot of persuasion but to no avail. When Paneru returned home, his little daughter was sleeping and he saw his wife in Garagada. He picked up the sleeping daughter and told her to feed him milk. After drinking milk, he went to Raiswal settlement with his little daughter.
They asked to give milk for this little girl, but they did not give it. I vowed to put the girl who I had taken with me on a sharp bamboo near Renuka's place, O Goddess Kansha, to destroy the lineage of this Raiswal, my branch children will worship her as a goddess. Due to that incident, one by one, three hundred families of two large villages were destroyed and the settlement was deserted. A celibate lived in Thapala. Almost everyone reached home. He had a very close relationship with everyone. Paneru used to call the girl as Brahmachari Baina. Suddenly hearing the news of Baina's murder, Brahmachari also gave up his body.
The place where a celibate renounces his body is called Brahmachad. Raiswal was in a lot of trouble. Similarly, Paneru family was cursed to kill girls. Finally, under the leadership of the clan god Kailpal, a solution to that problem was also found. If both Brahma and Pijasani were worshiped at the same place, they remained in the divine form of Shivgana. He was worshiped as a rural deity. By breaking the tradition that Pijasani usually manifests itself in women, it was revealed in men instead of women.
Places of other deities
After the settlement of Vedic Sanatani in Thapala, there were worshipers of nature. There are shrines of deities all around the village. There is a pizza place in Hardaktya. In Khairmuda there is a place called Kalpattha. Black goats had to be slaughtered for Kalpattha. There is an excavation site in the middle of the village. The property is located in Thapalam. Gwaladeu Than is established by Gwalahs. Jhalimali called by Batuwa and various Deu Jwars are there. As there is a stone on the head of Chowkyal Pandey, the stone has been installed according to local demand and has been made venerable. The entire Madhes region was in the cultural system of Thapla. The Devashilas established during the time when Madhes descended along with Bastu Bhau and Goth Rakhi Khark have become venerable now.
Cultural customs and traditions of Thapala
Lisa Loudi
Lisa Laudi is an important game played in Tihar. Dalits hold both sides of a wooden bali and pull one side towards themselves. They argue that this Lisa Laudy is yours or mine. In the middle of the ball, the Dhami Deuta of Kailpal sits in manifestation. One side pulls to reach the lower end of the gara and turns to reach the lower end. In this way three times it is done here and there and again in the middle.
Geer
Along with playing Lisaloudi, another game played during Tihar is Geer. After playing Lisalaudi, the same group stays in two parts and plays by hitting the leather hoop with their feet. To return from his field with his feet not touched by his hands.
Butterfly sewing
On the day of Ganga Dasara, girls from all over the village make cloth dolls (toys) in every house. It was a custom to marry dolls made of human figures. They will enter the house. Small sized puris are cooked and served. They talk to each other. The doll is immersed in the doll house. Which is called Putli Selanu.
Puja lessons
In every house, a lamp is lit remembering the Kuladevata and the Panchayan deity. Stotras are recited in the same way. A ritual lamp is lit in the temple at home. In the same way, various lessons are done. Stotras are recited along with Rudri, Chandi, Sahasranama, Chalisa, Shantikadhyaya, Gita etc.
twenty two okhals
There are twenty-two okhals on one stone in the middle part of Thaplagaon. Being a connected area in ancient times, Okhal was built by Jant Panwar during the reign of Panwar among the Jants. There were separate okhals for each category, from which it is believed that twenty-two categories of Jats lived here. Every temple in every village has some Jadanti Nisan as a symbol of Jats. Similarly, Jadanti Nisan is also twenty-two oxhals of the same stone.
Zola Naula
There are two wells near the village for drinking water for the settlement of Thapla. It is called very holy water.
Dev Puja culture tradition
Thapla is basically inside the Khitkeshwar Shivalayam. The holy place of Khitkeshwar is in Dunila. Kailpal Danau located in Thapala is the priest of Pandey Khitkeshwar. The responsibility for storage and management lies with the Bhattas of the farming villages.
Along with Dunila, Dunalek also has the same arrangement. Dunalek's place is called Shirobhag. Puja is performed at Khitkeshwar on the fourth day of Kartik Shukla, followed by puja at Kailpal Than on Panchami. A person who has manifested Kailpal usually becomes a priest.
Brahmapijasani is worshiped in the same way. There is a tradition that the person who has manifested the deity of Naulodevata is also the priest. Siddha, Gwasi Samaiji, Baijnath Pujan is the responsibility of Cheukyal Pandey. Van Pandeyas perform puja at Kalasain located in Latachdi, Thapala Tallagau located in Khaltal.
There is a trend of taking Bhageswardhura Deuro from Thapla, Khaltal. Kailpal is considered as Mulukiya of Bhageshwar. Similarly, the role of Lata has been very important. Deuro is taken every third year. A Shivlinga of Bhageshwar is also placed at the place of every Danau. All Danaus are associated with Bhageshwar. In Bhageshwar temple, to take pooja to Pokhal, paddy is grown in Pokhalya gado and taken to Pokhal.
Deuro
In the fair held at Parashuram Tirtha, just as it is brought from Sol Shivalaya, it is also taken from Thapala to Deuro Parashuram Tirtha in Khitkeshwar. In Deuro, goods from the Deura's storehouse are taken as movable temples. Pilgrims visit and worship Deura. After bringing pasa dola from Khetigaon, it is taken to Pasa and Kailpal's Agewani to Deuro Parashuram Tirtha of Khitkeshwar. Every third year, Deuro of Kailpal is coordinated with Latachdi and taken to Bhageshwar Dhura. It goes along with Deura of Gwanni in Paulidhunga. From Paulidhunga, the dai of Samaiji in Deura of Gwanni is returned to Damau and taken to Kailpal.
