Thapala
I was born on 17/01/2061 BS on the lap of a beautiful place ‘Thapala’ which lies in “Parshuram” municipality of “Dadeldhura” district of Far-west Nepal. . Basically
, “Chaukyal Pandey’s” are the people living here from several years and I belong to the same family. Other than them “Paneru’s “also live here. Despite the diversity there lies a feeling of unity and peace among the people of different caste, culture and tradition living here.
There are many rivers, streams adding beauty to this place. It consists of alluring hills, peaks, temples and many more. The climate and atmosphere is also magnificent here. King Brahmdev fort, View tower, Kaipal temple are the must visit places and the major tourist attraction residing here. From the View tower we can get a mind blowing view of Mt.Api, Mahakali river, Jogbuda valley, Purnagiri parvat, Parshuram dham and enormously fascinating places which can easily win peoples heart.
Not only geographically but also historically this place has its own importance. Historical places like “22 okhal” “Gaura ghar” "king Brahmadev fort "more beauty to this place.
The refreshing air, clean water resource an a variety of Fruits like oranges, lemons, bayberry (kafal) are mostly found here. People also earn their living by selling them. The lifestyle of the people living here is filled with hardship, resilience and kindness. The transportation facilities are also improving each day so that one can easily visit and witness the wonders of this place.
But, 02/06/2062 was a time which took a turn into the peoples life who were living here. Due to a huge flood and landslide in “Sirsha” a lot of people died and big loss of property was faced. That was the time when my family shifted to “Gajjar” a place of “Bhimdatt “ municipality of Kanchanpur district where my grandfathers and elders fathers used to live from 65 years.
